There is a famine in the world today! A dearth of genuine wisdom and understanding is crippling society and making idiots out of supposedly intelligent human beings! This is happening in society in general: academia, government, the entertainment world, the judicial system and even in the church!

      How do I know this? Anyone driving past one of the many Casinos in our cities – early in the morning or late at night - will notice hundreds of vehicles in their huge parking lot! Only a lost or misguided person would give his/her valuable time to such a senseless, corrupting and degenerate pastime!

POLITICAL CORRECTNESS: NEW NEO-FASCISM?

    As one observes the lack of moral values, coupled with the ‘neo-fascism doctrine’ of political correctness - which labels anyone who disagrees with their concept as fascists - being taught in our universities - it is easy to understand why the majority of Canadians would sustain a corrupt government for 12 years, even though they pushed through Parliament some of the most immoral and discriminatory laws ever enacted!

       You say: “Wait a minute. What are you talking about? Which laws?” Well, let me give you just two for starters: Is it not immoral and imbecilic to pass a law that allows courts to lower the age of consent for sodomy from 18 years to 14 in order to satisfy the perverted lusts of dirty old men who salivate for young boys’ rectums?

      HERE IS THE BENCHMARK RULING: In the 1995 Rosenberg decision, a Canadian Federal Court ruled that the age of consent for SODOMY must be reduced to 14 years from 18, since anal sex is “a basic form of expression for gay men.”  Is that not blatant discrimination against impressionable boys to be corrupted by sexual perverts?

      What of the immoral ‘man-on-man’ so-called same-sex marriage law rammed through Parliament - without a free vote of all the Members of Parliament - against the wishes of the majority of Canadians? Is that despicable law not ‘psychological thievery’ against millions of couples who in GOOD FAITH and in the FEAR OF GOD exchanged holy marriage vows in Canada for the past 139 years?

      Does it not degrade the institution of marriage and contaminate the sacredness of the vows of Holy Matrimony? Is it not open blasphemy against Almighty God and His Church? What about discrimination against the family unit and all little children?

MOST EXPLICIT TV PORN FOUND IN CANADA !

      And when one considers Canada ’s non-law on PORNOGRAPHY it doesn’t surprise us that our nation – according to news reports - is credited with “having the most explicit TV porn in the world.” Below is an excerpt from a recent article by Shannon Kari in CanWest News Service, Toronto : “Along with calls for more liberal marijuana laws and the legalization of homosexual marriage, Canadians may also become known for having more explicit adult content available on television than any other country in the world.

      “In the past 12 months, two new 24-hour-a-day X-rated channels have launched on digital cable and direct-home satellite. As well, the specialty channel The Movie Network has expanded explicit content to four nights a week and the introduction of video-on-demand technology has dramatically increased the number of adult films offered to Canadian television consumers.

     “The main beneficiaries of the dramatic increase in pornographic content are the cable and satellite distributors in Canada, who make as much as 70 cents of every dollar from pay-per-view or subscription-based adult purchases on television. It is not an insignificant market. According to the California-based trade publication Adult Video News, sales and rentals of Adult films (including television-based sales) topped $4 billion US in North America in 2002.

      “In December 2000, Ten Broadcasting was among the dozens of applicants that were awarded “category2” digital television licences by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission.

      “With titles such as Young Sluts Inc. #3 or Teens Gone Bad # 2, the channels live up to a promise on the X website to offer “an alternate to the traditional softer programming seen on most adult specialty channels by broadcasting much more explicit movies 24/7.”

      How could this have happened in Canada ? Why did we allow this horrible degeneracy to infect our children and grandchildren? What has our government done to us? Why have the Preachers in our nation not cried out against this filth? O, God forgive us for our complacency and indifference! Help us in this desperate hour of sin and ungodliness and perversion, I pray in Jesus’ name! Amen.

THE SUPREME LAW!

      Lucien Maynard, MLA delivered an impassioned speech on August 6, 1937 in the Alberta Legislature about the government’s duty to help starving people (during the Great Depression) and keeping the banks in check.

    In his memorable speech Lucien Maynard made a compelling and eloquent defence of Divine law and Justice. He stated that in order for human law to be legitimate and respected, it must be in accord with Divine Law and Justice!

     Here is an excerpt of that speech: “Another matter I want to refer to is British justice and British fair play and a law that is higher than any statutory law, I mean the divine law of God… Mr. Speaker, there is something greater than the law of man, and that is the law of God, and I maintain that when human legislators have so forgotten themselves as to pass laws that contravene the divine law rather than iniquitous and perverse human law.

   “I will go further. No man has the right, no legislator has the right, to pass a law in contravention of the law of God. Mr. Speaker, I will go still further. No man is obliged to obey a human law which contravenes the law of God, and no judge has the right to uphold any human law which violates the divine law.”

WHY THE FAMINE OF WISDOM?

      The famine is not for bread but for the Bread of Life - God’s Word. Not because the Word of God is scarce, but because human wisdom has pushed aside the true wisdom that comes from God alone!

     Secular Humanism has pushed its ugly head into almost every area of society like a fifth column to destroy belief in God, family values, decency and respect!

      HOW ARE THEY DOING THAT? Through the promotion of abortion, which has aptly been called the ‘Holocaust of the Unborn’, the elevation of the unproven, deceptive and false ‘ape doctrine’ theory of evolution as FACT, and the elevation of the filthy, immoral practice of buggery – SODOMY – to a normal alternate sexual lifestyle!

      The Bible says: “For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain (empty).” (1 Cor.3: 19-20)

       St. Paul identifies worldly wisdom as being FOOLISHNESS and EMPTY! He states that Jesus was condemned to death by religious leaders, who were considered intelligent. He was crucified by a Governor who declared, “I find no fault in Him.” (Luke 23: 4)       

      He states: “But we speak the wisdom of God in mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory. Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory.” (1 Cor.2: 7-8)   

      “And from a child thou hast known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” (2 Tim.3: 15-17)

PEACE THROUGH GOD’S WORD!

      There is GREAT WISDOM in God’s Word. All we need to do is obey the Holy Scriptures and bend our will in conformity to His will! Under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, King David stated: “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

      “The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.” (Ps. 19: 7-10)

     The Bible says: “Great peace have they that love Thy law.” (Ps. 119: 165); “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee; because he trusted in Thee.” (Is. 26: 3)

      The problem is that many people put their trust in something other than the Lord. They are unwilling to humble themselves and repent of their pride and self-sufficiency! God wants to bless mankind and has given us every opportunity to receive His blessing, but human nature is such that it often rebels against His righteousness and goodness:

     “I create the fruit of the lips; PEACE, PEACE to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the Lord; and I will heal him. But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. There is no peace, saith my God, unto the wicked.” (Is. 57: 19-21)

      Here is God’s indictment against unbelievers: “Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot SAVE; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot HEAR: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear.” (Is. 59: 1-2)    

JESUS IS THE PRINCE OF PEACE!

     Seven hundred years before Jesus was born in Bethlehem , Isaiah prophesied the birth of the Messiah: “Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel (God with us).” (Is. 7: 14)

      “For unto us a child is born and unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, The Mighty God. The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” (Is. 9: 6)

      Jesus Christ said: “Come unto Me all ye who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matt.11: 28); “I am the light of the world: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

      “Ye are from beneath; I am from Above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am HE (Messiah), ye shall die in your sins.” (John 8: 23-24)

       “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14: 27)

         You may ask: “Exactly what is the law of God?” The Scriptures record that Jesus was asked the same question: “Master what is the great commandment of the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great (most important) commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” (Matt.22: 36-40)

EINSTEIN GIVES SOUND ADVICE!

        The great physicist Albert Einstein shared some good advice on how to achieve ‘peace of mind’! Here it is: “Tell the truth to everyone; reconcile any anger before you pillow your head; stand up to temptation; don't take anything that isn't yours; do an honest day's work, and share what you have with those who are in need."  

       All good advice is derived directly or indirectly from the Holy Scriptures, whether it comes through the mouth of a theologian, philosopher, judge, politician or teacher! Let’s examine Professor Einstein’s quote!

1. Tell the truth to everyone:

       “Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things HONEST in the sight of all men.” (Rom.12: 17); “Let us walk HONESTLY, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.” (Rom.13: 13);

     “Having your conversation (lifestyle) among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation (judgment).” (1 Peter 2: 12 ); “Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live HONESTLY.” (Heb.13: 18)

2. Reconcile your anger before you pillow your head:

     “Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down on your WRATH.” (Eph.4: 26); “Let all BITTERNESS, and WRATH, and ANGER, and CLAMOUR, and evil speaking, be put away from you with all CLAMOUR.

     “And be ye kind on to another, tender-hearted, FORGIVING one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” (Eph.4: 31-32); “I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without WRATH and doubting.” (1 Tim. 2: 18)

     “Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath aught against thee. Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be RECONCILED to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.” (Matt.5: 23-24)

     “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if, when we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being RECONCILED, we shall be saved by His life.” (Rom.5: 8-10)

      “And all things are of God, Who hath RECONCILED us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given us the ministry of RECONCILIATION.” (2 Cor.5: 18)

3. Stand up to temptation:

      “And lead us not into TEMPTATION, but deliver us from evil: For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.” (Matt.6: 13); “There hath no TEMPTATION taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be TEMPTED above that ye are able; but will with the TEMPTATION also make a way of escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” (1 Cor.10: 13)

     “Blessed is the man that endureth TEMPTATION: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them that love Him. Let no man say when he is TEMPTED, I am TEMPTED of God: for God cannot be TEMPTED with evil, neither TEMPTED He any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.” (James 1: 12-14)

 4. Don’t take anything that isn’t yours:

      “Thou shalt not STEAL.” (Ex. 21: 15 ); “Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

      “For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not STEAL, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet, and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this one saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” (Rom.13: 9)

     “But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a THIEF, or as an evil doer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but him glorify God on this behalf.” (1 Peter 4: 15-16)

     “Let him that stole, STEAL no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.” (Eph.4: 28)

5. Do an honest day’s work:

     “Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you.

     “Neither did we eat any man’s bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you: Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us: Not because we have power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.

      “For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

     “For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, WORKING NOT AT ALL, but are busybodies. Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread. But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.” (2 Thes.3: 6-13)

6. Share what you have with those who are in need:

     “He that hath pity upon the POOR lendeth to the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.” (Prov.19: 17); “He that giveth unto the POOR shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.” (Prov.28: 27)

      “But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him GIVE, not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful GIVER.” (2 Cor.9: 6-7)

      “Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered to my necessities, and to them that were with me. I have showed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to SUPPORT THE WEAK, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus Christ, how He said, It is more blessed to GIVE than to receive.” (Acts 20: 34-36).

CANADA NEEDS A REVIVAL OF RIGHTEOUSNESS!

     We desperately need a revival of righteousness in Canada ! It isn’t too late to stop the serious drift toward total corruption and degradation in our society; in our homes, schools, governments, courts, media and churches!

      The real need is among the clergy of our nation! We must experience the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and be filled with the blessed Holy Spirit. Then, we will be able to communicate His love and mercy to those around about us, and the Spirit’s fire will spread to our communities and across the nation!

      Oh, how we all need God’s compassion to turn us into genuine representatives of His Kingdom, spreading the message of forgiveness, peace and divine healing that Jesus Christ died and rose again to provide for us! May the Word of God and the Holy Spirit drive us to our knees in repentance and prayer for our loved ones, neighbours and fellow men!      

     Dear Lord, help us in this desperate hour of sin, ungodliness and perversion, I pray in Jesus’ name! Amen.
