SUPER EARTHQUAKE?
What
does the Bible about
earthquakes?

DO
EARTHQUAKES SPEAK FOR GOD? "According
to the historical records, earthquakes greatly escalated in intensity,
frequency and geographical diversity during the 20th century.
Jesus
Christ gave us a comprehensive, flawless prophecy concerning end-time
phenomena including war, famines, pestilence and "earthquakes in
divers places" in answer to His disciples query "What shall
be the sign of Thy coming and of the end of the world?"
ARE
EARTHQUAKES A SIGN OR MESSAGE FROM GOD ALMIGHTY?
EARTHQUAKES
SPEAK FOR GOD, and have done so since the beginning of time; a sign as
well as a message from the Almighty to us all! Often, earthquakes
are a WAKE-UP CALL for us to repent and get right with God - a warning of
impending judgment and a call to righteousness!
 HISTORICAL
RECORDS SHOW EARTHQUAKES BECAME MORE FREQUENT AND MUCH MORE INTENSE
DURING THE 20TH CENTURY
The
FIRST scientifically monitored earthquake occurred at Antioch, Syria on
May 20, 526 AD and took the lives of 250,000 people. There is no record
of its magnitude, but it was certainly great to create so much havoc and
death!
Another
powerful earthquake (9.0) shook Shensi, China on Jan. 24, 1556 claiming
830,000 lives and on Oct. 11, 1739, Calcutta, India was rocked by a
mammoth quake leaving 300,000 dead. Again, we have no record of its
magnitude!
The Lisbon
shaker claimed 20% of the population on Nov. 11, 1755 registering 8.6 on
the Richter Scale and was felt many miles away from its epicenter. SIXTY
THOUSAND PEOPLE WERE KILLED!
Even though
only 503 died in San Francisco’s April 18-19, 1906 quake, it registered
8.3 on the Richter Scale and much of the city was destroyed with $500
million in damages!
On Sept. 1,
1923 an 8.3 magnitude quake took 200,000 lives in Yokohama, Japan and
another with the magnitude of 8.3 shook Nan Shan, China on May 22, 1927.
On Dec. 26, 1939 the earth shook again with great intensity - 7.9 on
Richter Scale - in Erzincan, Turkey taking 30,000 lives.
In the
1950’s & 1960’s, earthquakes were recorded in India, Turkey,
Afghanistan, Iran, Morocco, Chile, Yugoslavia and Alaska with intensities
as great as 8.7 and as low as 5.8. The Alaska quake occurred on March 27,
1964 and took 131 lives.
On May 31,
1970 an earthquake with the magnitude of 7.7 shook Northern Peru and
claimed 66,796 lives. The Feb. 4, 1976 quake in Guatemala brought great
destruction and death claiming 22,778 lives. It registered 7.5 on the
Richter Scale, and on July 26 of that same year, 242,000 people died in
the 8.2 horrific killer quake that hit Tangahan, China.
SOME
RECENT EARTHQUAKES
The Global
Volcanism Network of the Smithsonian Institute has provided us with the
following information.
Earthquakes in
1993 & 1994 have struck Bolivia (8.2), Columbia (6.8), Indonesia
(7.3), California (6.8), Papau New Guinea (7.0), Mexico (7.2), Guam
(8.0), Fiji (6.7) and Japan (7.0).
On June 15,
1999 central and southern Mexico was struck by a 6.7 magnitude earthquake
which killed a number of people and injured hundreds more.
And in August
and September, 1999, three powerful earthquakes hit Turkey (7.4), Greece
(5.9) and Taiwan (7.6). There was great loss of life and property in both
Greece (Sept. 9) and Taiwan (Aug. 17) while the quake in Western Turkey
was responsible for the deaths of upwards to 60,000 people!
And two strong
earthquakes (6.0 and 5.3) hit Greece on May 24 and 26, 2000 but caused
little or no damage or injuries because their epicenters were located
under the seabed, south of Kalamata and northwest of Athens,
respectively!

THE
FIRST SCIENTIFICALLY MONITORED EARTHQUAKE
HAPPENED ON MAY 20, 526 AD
In the list of
signs pointing to Jesus Christ’s soon return - given by Jesus Christ
Himself - is earthquakes occurring in many diverse places!
As you can see
by World Almanac statistics which we have included in this article,
EARTHQUAKES are increasing in magnitude, intensity & varied
geographical locations across our troubled world!
For years, all
eyes were on the expected Super Quake which has been predicted to occur
along California’s fault lines. And earthquake watchers are continuing
to keep a close eye on Los Angeles, San Francisco & other cities in
California!
Their focus,
however, has shifted somewhat recently and informed minds are saying that
the next ‘Big One’ could be in Tokyo or another city in Japan!
On December
28, 1974 an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.5 literally shook Northern
Japan - about 95 miles from the nearest city - with very little damage or
loss of life due to its isolated location. In 1994, several strong
tremors - 6.5 to 8.0 on the Richter Scale - occurred in ocean regions
surrounding Japan.
Earthquake
watchers (experts) are fearful that a large earthquake may strike Tokyo
in the near future. If an earthquake with a magnitude of 8.0 occurs in
the Tokyo area, because of the geographical structure of the ground,
Tokyo would literally sink, burying millions in the wake of its
power!
On January 17,
1995 an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2 struck the Kobe area in
Southern Japan with thousands killed & wounded. News sources stated
that it was the most powerful earthquake to happen during the past 50
years!
Going back to
July 28, 1976, ‘History’s Most Disastrous Earthquake’ struck Tang
Shan, China. The grim facts are that 242,000 died and hundreds of
thousands were injured. According to an Associated Press report, Jan. 17,
1995: a total of 800,000 fatalities (and possibly as many as 1 million)
occurred at the time of the earthquake and as a result of injuries
incurred!
WHAT
KIND OF A MESSAGE ARE THESE EARTHQUAKES SENDING US?
An in-depth
study of God’s Word confirms that Satan is the “Prince of the Power
of the Air”, and can engineer catastrophic events to bring about his
evil work of death, destruction & confusion - like in the case of
Job’s children being killed by a ‘devil engineered storm’.
Earthquakes
however, have been used by the Lord to convey a message to a wicked
society that they must repent & turn around!
HERE ARE SOME
CLASSIC ACCOUNTS OF GOD SPEAKING TO US THROUGH EARTHQUAKES & WHY:
God manifests
His greatness, power & glory in the earthquake. Man is brought low
when God shakes the earth. God speaks through the earthquake and His
message brings man to his knees!
NO.
1 - ON MOUNT SINAI!
“And mount
Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in
fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the
whole mount quaked greatly.” (Ex. 19:18) Holy BIBLE
“See that ye
refuse not Him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused Him
that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from
Him that speaketh from heaven.” (Heb. 12:25)
"The earth
shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself
was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.” (Ps. 68:8)
God revealed
His holy presence on Mt. Sinai through thunder, lightning, a cloud and
the loud voice of the trumpet that continued growing louder as smoke came
from the mount as a great furnace & THE ENTIRE MOUNTAIN QUAKED
GREATLY. Man was brought to his knees & convicted of his wickedness
as God issued His Ten Commandments. God is holy and we must not forget
that!

2 - ON MOUNT CALVARY!
“And,
behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the
bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; Now when the
centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the
earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying,
Truly this was the Son of God.” (Matt. 27:51,54)
An EARTHQUAKE
made the earth tremble & shake at the moment of Jesus’ death on
Golgotha. Three hours of darkness covered the earth just prior to His
death during which time God judged His Son because of our sin. When Jesus
cried, “It is finished”, salvation was complete and the “fountain
was opened” for sin & uncleanness. (Zech. 13:1)
When Jesus
Christ died on Golgotha’s hill for our sins, the veil in the temple was
rent in twain - from the top to the bottom - thus proclaiming that the
death of Jesus had effectively REMOVED THE BARRIER BETWEEN GOD AND MAN.
No more priests or high priests mediating between God and sinner would be
needed. Jesus Christ Himself became the mediator between God and sinning
humanity!
GOD SENT THE
EARTHQUAKE as a message to sinning mankind that the “Man on the Middle
Cross” was none other than God the Son, Who at that moment was
reconciling the world to Himself through His efficacious and
substitutionary death!

3 - AT THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST!
“In the end
of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week,
came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulcher. And, behold,
THERE WAS A GREAT EARTHQUAKE: for the angel of the Lord descended from
heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon
it. His countenance was like lightning, and His raiment white as snow:
And for fear of Him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.”
(Matt. 28:1-4) HOLY BIBLE
When the angel
of the Lord appeared at the tomb of Jesus, the guards who were standing
watch, fell like dead men! God sent an EARTHQUAKE simultaneously, which
made the earth to shake. The guards were overcome by the awesome presence
of God’s messengers. An angel rolled away the stone and sat upon it.
When the
believing women arrived, the angel said, “Fear not for I know you seek
Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for He is risen, as He said.
Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell His
disciples that He is risen from the dead...” (Matt. 28:5-7)
The Bible
declares that Jesus Christ was “declared to be the Son of God with
power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the
dead”. (Rom. 1:4)
God sent His
holy angel with a shattering earthquake to impact the world both
physically and spiritually at the resurrection of Jesus Christ!

4 - AT AN APOSTOLIC PRAYER MEETING!
“And now,
Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with
all boldness they may speak Thy word, By stretching forth Thine hand to
heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of Thy holy
child Jesus.
“And when
they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together;
and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of
God with boldness.” (Acts 4:29-31)
Jesus is the
head of the Church and knows how to encourage His people. The disciples
who were forbidden to speak or to teach in His Name, “went to their own
company” of believers and repeated the threats which the chief priests
and elders had made.
As they
prayed, the Holy Ghost fell upon them and God sent an EARTHQUAKE to shake
the place, demonstrating His all-power!
They were
filled with Holy Spirit power, and instead of being intimidated they were
“bold as lions”!

5 - FREEING PAUL & SILAS FROM PRISON!
“And at
midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the
prisoners heard them.
“And
suddenly there was a GREAT EARTHQUAKE, so that the foundations of the
prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every
one’s hands were loosed.
“And the
keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison
doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself,
supposing that the prisoners had been fled.” (Acts 16:25-27)
God also knows
how to surprise His people. He used an earthquake to free His servants,
Paul & Silas!
As these men
of God - who had been beaten and chained - began praying & singing
praises to God, suddenly He came onto the scene in mighty power!
An EARTHQUAKE
shook the prison. The doors were opened and “everyone’s hands were
loosed”.
This great
exhibition of God’s power resulted in the conversion of the jailer and
his family. And Paul & Silas’ release from prison!

6 - AS A SIGN OF COMING OF CHRIST AND END OF AGE!
“For nation
shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall
be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.” (Matt.
24:7)
“For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and
there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines
and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.” (Mark 13:8)
“And great
earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and
fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.” (Luke
21:11)
God is showing
His mighty power in this end time age and will continue to do so in even
a more dramatic way than He has in the past.
Jesus declared
that EARTHQUAKES would be one of the outstanding signs of His Second
Coming and God’s judgment upon this wicked world.
Some of the
other signs He gave are wars, rumors of wars, famines, pestilences,
backsliding and persecution, as well as mighty revivals across the world!
God alone is
to be exalted! Man must recognize this and come before His All Powerful
Presence in humility, repentance and faith!

7 - OPENING OF SIXTH SEAL!
“And I
beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a GREAT
EARTHQUAKE; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon
became as blood.
“And the
stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her
untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven
departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and
island were moved out of their places.
“And the
kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief
captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid
themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
“And said to
the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him
that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great
day of His wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?” (Rev.
6:12-17)
Wondrous and
apocalyptic phenomena will accompany the opening of the sixth seal. The
sun will be darkened, the moon will turn to blood, stars will fall from
the heavens, the sky will roll away like a scroll.
There will be
a GREAT EARTHQUAKE and every mountain & island will be moved out of
their places. WHAT A WARNING TO PUNY MANKIND!
God will bear
His mighty arm and His great wrath will be poured out upon Christ
rejecters and God haters, during the awful ‘Great Tribulation’
period!

8 - BEFORE THE SEVEN ANGELS SOUND THEIR TRUMPETS
“And the
angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it
into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightning's,
and an earthquake.” (Rev. 8:5)
As the seven
angels prepare to sound their trumpets, an angel will take a censer which
is filled with fire from off the holy altar of God and cast it upon the
earth.
There will be
voices, thunderings, lightnings and an EARTHQUAKE! This will happen just
prior to God’s Final Judgments falling upon the earth. And when the
seventh angel sounds his trumpets there will be lightning's, voices,
thunderings, great hail & another earthquake!
“And the
temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in His temple the
ark of His testament; and there were lightning's, and voices, and
thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.” (Rev. 11:19)

9 - WHEN TWO WITNESSES ASCEND!
“And the
same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city
fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the
remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.” (Rev.
11:13)
There will be
a great EARTHQUAKE when the two tribulation witnesses - who shall be
slain - will rise from the dead and ascend up to Heaven in a cloud!
This will
happen at the close of the ‘seven years of Great Tribulation’. One
tenth of the city will be destroyed and 7000 men will die. God is the
great judge and recompenses just judgment for iniquity!

10 - THE GREAT EARTHQUAKE AT SEVENTH SEAL!
“And the
seventh angel poured out his vial into the air, and there came a great
voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, IT IS DONE.
And there were voices, and thunders, and lightning's; and there was a
great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so
mighty an earthquake, and so great.
“And the
great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations
fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her
the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
“And every
island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And there fell upon
men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent:
and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague
thereof was exceeding great.” (Rev. 16:17-21)
WHEN THIS
GREAT EARTHQUAKE SHAKES THE WORLD, THE CITIES OF THE NATIONS WILL BE
UTTERLY DESTROYED, EVERY ISLAND WILL VANISH, THE MOUNTAINS WILL DISAPPEAR
AND GREAT HAILSTONES WILL FALL FROM HEAVEN, AS GOD POURS OUT HIS WRATH!
Without doubt,
the Coming of the Lord draweth nigh and earthquakes are another SIGN
pointing to His nearness. This corrupt, immoral, perverted, unjust &
evil world will one day receive her just rewards!
Satan, the
false prophet and the anti-Christ will all be judged and damned forever
along with those who have believed their lies!
The recent
(June 6, 2000) magnitude 7.9 quake that rattled Sumatra, Indonesia,
leaving dozens dead and thousands homeless, again speaks to us that
God’s Word is flawless and prophecy is being fulfilled to the letter!
WITHOUT DOUBT,
JESUS IS COMING SOON!
It behooves us
all to make doubly sure that we have our “wedding garments on” and
that we are ready for the “Marriage Supper of the Lamb”!
You may ask as
did the Philippian jailer, “ What must I do to be saved?”
My
answer is their answer: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ (as your
personal Savior) and thou shall be saved”. (Acts 16:31).

HEALING
FOR THE SICK
Through Faith In Jesus Christ
"...man
is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward." (Job 5:7)
"Many
are the afflictions of the righteous; but the Lord delivereth him out of
them all." (Psalms. 34:19)
"Is any
sick among you? let him call for the elders of the Church; and let them
pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; "And
the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up;
and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him." (James
5:14-15)
“Ask, and it
shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be
opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh
findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” (Matthew
7:7-8)
THERE IS HOPE
FOR YOU - THERE IS HEALING FOR YOU - GOD WILL ANSWER YOUR PRAYERS
Multitudes
today are suffering from a disease or infirmity with no relief in sight.
They have frequented doctors, clinics and hospitals with little or no
help - and are discouraged, angry and bitter!
Some have
prayed earnestly regarding their healing, had special prayer in their
church by the pastor and elders or by an evangelist whom God uses to
bring healing to the sick through faith in Jesus Christ - and still are
not healed! Many become discouraged thinking that God is not
listening to their prayers or that they are not important enough for him
to give them answers to their prayers.
Possibly
someone reading this booklet fits one of these categories. After your
hospital visit or prayer service, you are “not better”. You may even
be getting worse! Your faith is at a low ebb and you’re tired of being
tired, sick and defeated. You are tired of hoping and believing without
any answers to your prayers.
You feel like
throwing up your hands in despair since nothing helps, and accept
weakness, pain, sickness and distress as your lot in life!
MY DEAR
FRIEND, THERE IS STILL HOPE FOR YOU. It is not too late. It may
seem hopeless, but it is not. It may seem useless to think of
deliverance, but it is not. So long as you are alive and there is a God
in Heaven, there is hope!
The Bible
says, “With men this is impossible, but not with God, for with God all
things are possible”. (Mark 10:27) It may seem impossible to you but
with God NOTHING is impossible.
Man’s
extremity becomes God’s opportunity. And when man fails, that’s when
God can take over, for He never fails. When man “gives up on you”,
God is ready, willing and able to step in and bring to pass a miracle in
your life, because nothing is impossible with Him!
GOD CAN &
WILL ANSWER YOUR PRAYER! When God could bring the world into being
by His spoken Word, hang the universe on nothing, fling the sun, moon and
stars into the far most corner of the night to rotate in perfect harmony,
HE CAN ANSWER YOUR PRAYER. You must be patient and continue to pray
and seek God, as he will answer your prayers when he feels the time is
right.
"By the
Word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the
breath of His mouth." (Psalm 33:6). Since He has the
ability to create millions of moons, galaxies of stars and heavenly
bodies by a few words from Hs lips, most assuredly He is able to destroy
the cancer, heart disease, diabetes or arthritis which is stealing your
health.
WHEN AT THE
TOUCH OF HIS HAND, GOD CREATED A PERFECT HUMAN BEING IN HIS OWN IMAGE AND
BREATHED INTO MAN’S NOSTRILS THE BREATH OF LIFE MAKING HIM A LIVING
SOUL, SURELY HE CAN HEAL YOUR SICK SPIRIT, SOUL (MIND) AND BODY. HE
HAS PROMISED HEALING, GOD HAS PROMISED ANSWERS TO YOUR PRAYERS.
The Great God
Who brought back to life the Lord Jesus Christ, can certainly quicken
your mortal body. When you think of how great and mighty our God is,
certainly nothing could be impossible to Him!
St. Paul
declares: "But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the
dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also
quicken - make life in - your mortal (temporal, dying) bodies by His
Spirit that dwelleth in you". (Romans 8:11)
Is God able to
heal our weak, aging, temporal bodies? Yes, He is able to and He does!
Is God able to answer your prayers. Yes - He is willing to answer
your prayers. The Bible says, “All things are possible to him
that believeth”. (Mark 9:23) Since He (the Holy Spirit) brought
Jesus Christ back from the dead, He can most certainly heal our diseased
and dying bodies, says St. Paul.
In verse 26,
the great apostle continues, "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our
infirmities (lit. greek - takes a hold of against our sicknesses): for we
know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself
(Himself) maketh intercession for us (lit. greek - and together with us)
with groanings (Holy Spirit prayer - praying in tongues) which cannot be
uttered".
The same
Blessed Holy Spirit Who raised Jesus Christ from the dead dwells within
us and "takes a hold of against our sickness" and “together
with us” prays to our Heavenly Father for our healing and deliverance!
"ALL
THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM THAT BELIEVETH"
The Bible
says, “All things are possible to him that believeth”. (Mark 9:23)
The first truth we have established is that your case is not too
difficult for God and there is a good possibility of your healing to take
place We have also established that God is able and willing to heal
you - to answer your prayers!
THE BIBLE
STATES THAT JESUS CAME TO BRING LIFE!
“The thief
cometh not but for to steal and to kill and destroy, but I am come that
they might have life and have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)
Jesus stated
that the devil came for only three reasons; to steal, kill and destroy!
But Jesus came to bring life! The devil is a thief and a murderer (John
8:44) and came only to do evil (steal, kill and destroy). He came
to rob you of your happiness, joy, peace, health and blessing. He came to
harm you and finally destroy you in a hospital, insane asylum or prison.
The devil is
cruel, perverted, evil, wicked and ungodly. He can only do evil. He has
no capability to do good. The devil is the death giver!
JESUS IS 100%
GOOD! He came to bring life. He came to bring blessings to all who would
believe. HE CAME TO BRING ABUNDANT LIFE BECAUSE HE IS THE LIFE GIVER!
Some people have given the devil the credit for healing sick people -
this is blasphemous and utterly false. It is contrary to God’s Word and
accuses Jesus of telling an untruth.
We know that
Jesus is the truth, the life and the way (John 14:6). The Word of God is
pure, divine and infallible!
JESUS SAID
THAT YOU CANNOT GET GOOD FRUIT FROM A CORRUPT TREE OR CORRUPT FRUIT FROM
A GOOD TREE. By their fruits we shall know them! Jesus said a corrupt
tree “bringeth not forth good fruit”. (Matthew 7:18) It is against
the law of a thorn tree to bring forth figs - you can’t get sweet water
out of a fountain that is bitter.
HOW COULD THE
DEVIL, WHO IS COMPLETELY EVIL, BRING FORTH SOMETHING THAT IS GOOD?
Jesus called
the devil a thief who came only to steal, kill and destroy. He came to
this earth for no other purpose! Jesus came to bring life! Healing and
health is life! Sickness and disease brings death! The Bible classifies
'healing' as 'doing good'!
“How God
anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power, Who went
about doing good, healing all who were oppressed of the devil.” (Acts
10:38)
The message is
plain and simple: The devil made people sick but Jesus made them well.
Sickness comes from satanic sources and divine healing has its origin in
God! The literal Greek states that Jesus Christ healed all those
who "were under the dominion, authority or lordship of Satan".
That is God's Word - Believe it and be healed;
IT MAY APPEAR
THAT WITCH DOCTORS AND OCCULTS MAY HEAL OR CURE BUT BE NOT DECEIVED
Oh I know
there are times that it appears witch doctors and other occultists may
have affected cures by their incantations. Do not be deceived.
Satan is a deceiver and manipulator. In the end, his involvement
always brings enslavement, torment & death.
The magicians
(witch doctors and soothsayers) of Egypt could duplicate many of the
miracles performed by Moses in the sight of Pharaoh (king) of Egypt.
There were two things they could not do, however.
#1 - They could not get rid of the plagues even though they could
duplicate Moses in bringing forth the flies and frogs. Moses had to be
called to get rid of the plagues: eg. darkness, flies, frogs, lice,
locusts. Interpretation: Satan can bring the cancer but he has no power
to heal the person from the death-dealing work of the disease which he
has brought. God is the only healer and restorer!
#2 - When it comes to creating life, the magicians could not create lice
out of dust as Moses did in the Name of the Lord.
The magicians
said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger of God”. (Exodus 8:19) Here is the
interpretation: Satan is a deceiver and trickster but he has no power to
do good, heal, save or create life! All he can do is deceive, lie, steal
and kill! Only God can heal and create life and sustain it!
There are some
things you must do if you are to be healed. Study the accounts of sick
folk - in the Bible - who were healed, and if you do what they did, you
will certainly receive healing, because Jesus Christ is no respector of
persons!
No. 1 - WORSHIP JESUS CHRIST!
There is only
ONE HEALER, Jesus Christ. He alone is the Great Physician. Seek Him and
worship Him, and turn from every known sin. Seek the Healer and not the
healing!
Focus your
attention on Jesus. Worship, praise and magnify His Name and His love,
forgiveness and healing will automatically flow into you!
“And,
behold, there came a leper and worshipped Him, saying, Lord, if Thou
wilt, Thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth His hand, and touched
him, saying, I will, be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was
cleansed”. (Matthew 8:2-3)
PEOPLE WHO
SEEK ONLY A HEALING OR MIRACLE OR ANSWERS TO PRAYER WITHOUT
WORSHIPPING GOD - WILL BE GREATLY DISAPPOINTED
By seeking God
through Jesus Christ, you will establish a vital contact with the Great
Physician and receive your miracle and answers to your prayers.
People who seek only a healing or a miracle or answers to prayers without
worshipping God, will be greatly disappointed.
ALWAYS
REMEMBER, KNOWING GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST AND THE BLESSED HOLY SPIRIT -
WITHOUT BEING HEALED PHYSICALLY - IS FAR MORE ADVANTAGEOUS THAN GETTING
ONLY A PHYSICAL MIRACLE WITHOUT RECEIVING JESUS CHRIST AS SAVIOUR AND
LORD!
Jarius was in
a desperate situation. His daughter was at the point of death when he
decided to seek out the Master. Here is the Bible account.
While He spake
these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and
worshipped Him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay
Thy hand upon her, and she shall live. And Jesus arose, and followed him,
and so did His disciples.
“And,
behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years,
came behind Him, and touched the hem of His garment: For she said within
herself, If I may but touch His garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus
turned Him about, and when He saw her, He said, Daughter, be of good
comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole
from that hour.
“And when
Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the minstrels and the people
making a noise, He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead,
but sleepeth. And they laughed Him to scorn. But when the people were put
forth, He went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.”
(Matt. 9:18-25)
CANAANITE
WOMAN WORSHIPS JESUS!
“And,
behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto
Him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is
grievously vexed with a devil. But He answered her not a word. And His
disciples came and besought Him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth
after us. But He answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep
of the house of Israel. “Then came she and worshipped Him, saying,
Lord, help me.
“But He
answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to
cast it to dogs. And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the
crumbs which fall from their masters’ table. Then Jesus answered and
said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou
wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.” (Matt.
15:22-28)
The Bible
states, “And as they went to tell His disciples. behold, Jesus met
them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and
worshipped Him”. (Matt. 28:9)
GOD HEARS
THE PRAYERS AND ANSWERS THE PRAYERS OF THOSE WHO WORSHIP HIM
Without doubt,
God hears your prayers and God answers the prayers of those who worship
Him. And all who are saved and healed by God’s power WILL desire to
worship Him!
The blind man
whom Jesus healed is a good example of that fact: “Jesus heard that
they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said unto him, Dost
thou believe on the Son of God? He answered and said, Who is He, Lord,
that I might believe on Him? And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen
Him, and it is He that talketh with thee.
“And he
said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped Him”. (John 9:35-38)
To the
Samaritan woman, Jesus said, “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the
true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the
Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that
worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth”. (John 4:23-24)
No. 2 - HUMBLE YOURSELF!
Pride is a
gigantic hindrance to receiving divine healing! “But He answered and
said it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to
dogs.
“And she
said, truth, Lord, yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their
master’s table. Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great
is thy faith, be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was
made whole from that very hour.” (Matthew 15:26-28)
Here is the
account of a Canaanite woman humbling herself in the sight of God. When
she did, Jesus granted her request! Her daughter was healed!
ANOTHER GOOD
EXAMPLE OF HOW GOD REWARDS HUMILITY IS FOUND IN THE HEALING ACCOUNT OF
NAAMAN
“So Naaman
came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the
house of Elisha. And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and
wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and
thou shalt be clean.
“But Naaman
was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely
come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the Lord his God, and
strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper. Are not Abana and
Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I
not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.
“And his
servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the
prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it?
how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?
"Then
went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the
saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of
a little child, and he was clean.” (2 Kings 5:9-14)
Many people
believe that they will receive something from God because of WHO THEY ARE
OR THINK THEY ARE! We do not receive healing because we are worthy, but
because we are needy. And Jesus Christ met that need nearly 2000 years
ago on the cross!
WE RECEIVE
HEALING FROM GOD BECAUSE OF HIS GRACE AND MERCY AND BECAUSE OF HIS WORD -
NOT BECAUSE WE DESERVE IT - HEALING IS A GIFT
It is only
because of His great liberality to us by sending His Son Jesus Christ, to
die in our place and purchase our salvation, that we receive forgiveness
and divine healing from His gracious and loving land!
We must never
forget that forgiveness, divine healing, the gifts and graces of God
which He bestows upon us are simply that - gifts of God’s mercy to us!
No. 3 - BELIEVE IN GOD’S INTEGRITY, ABILITY AND WILLINGNESS
TO
KEEP HIS PROMISES TO US
Believe that
God’s Word is absolutely true and that it will never pass away! The
Heavens and the Earth will pass away, but God’s Word will stand
forever. (Matthew 24:35) God’s Word is as pure and divine as God
Himself (John 1:1-4).
THE HOLY
SCRIPTURES ARE GOD’S WORD!
The Lord God
Almighty is “back of” His Word, and it will never fail (1 Kings
8:56). God has placed “His Word” above “His Name” (Psalm 138:2).
His Word has gone out of His mouth in righteousness and will not return
void.
“So shall My
word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me
void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper
in the thing whereto I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11)
God will
perform every Word He has spoken. “Then said the Lord unto me, Thou
hast well seen: for I will hasten My word to perform it.” (Jeremiah
1:12) “So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall
not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and
it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11)
Believe that God’s Word is the final authority and that IT IS GOOD
TODAY! Then, appropriate His Word to yourself, for your own
individual need!
Jesus
said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He hath anointed me
to preach the gospel to the poor, He hath sent me to heal the
brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of
sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach
the acceptable year of the Lord.” (Luke 4:18-20)
The
Bible says, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word
of God.” (Romans 10:17) Jesus asked two blind men, “Believest
thou that I am able to do this (heal them)?” They answered, “Yea,
Lord”.
Then Jesus
touched their eyes saying, “According to your faith be it unto you”,
and they were instantly healed!
Jesus said,
“If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that
believeth”. (Mark 9:23)
“Believe Me
that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me: or else believe Me for the
very works’ sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on
Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these
shall he do; because I go unto My Father.
“And
whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may
be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in My name, I will do
it.” (John 14:11-14)
No. 4 - TAKE GOD AT HIS WORD!
The Bible
says, “...if thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy
God, and wilt do that which is right in His sight, and wilt give ear to
His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of these
diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians, for I am the
Lord that healeth thee.” (Exodus 15:26)
Jesus
promised: “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find;
knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh
receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall
be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8)
“When the
even was come, they brought unto Him many that were possessed with
devils: and He cast out the spirits with His word, and HEALED ALL THAT
WERE SICK: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the
prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our
sicknesses.” (Matthew 8:16-17)
Seven hundred
years before His birth in Bethlehem, the Holy Spirit promised divine
healing through the Coming Messiah!
“But He was
wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the
chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are
healed.” (Isaiah 53:5)
Here is the
beginning of the fulfillment of that prophecy: “Who His own self bare
our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should
live unto righteousness: by Whose stripes ye were healed.” (1 Peter
2:24)
There are
three very important spiritual laws which Jesus Christ gave His Church:
The Law of Binding & Loosing
The Law of Agreement
The Law of God’s Presence
These three
laws, when acted upon in faith, bring divine healing and total
deliverance to those who call upon the Lord in sincerity and trust!
“Verily I
say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven:
and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
“Again I say
unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing
that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of My Father which is in
heaven.
“For where
two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of
them.” (Matthew 18:18-20)
The
Law of Binding & Loosing is found in Matthew 18:18
The
Law of Agreement is contained in Matthew18:19.
The
Law of God’s Presence is written in Matthew 18:20.

No. 5 -
RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR HEALER
Confess to the
Lord that you Believe His Word and that you Know He is your Healer!
Concur with
the Scriptures. Agree with Jesus Christ, that you Accept His promises as
true and infallible! Confess to Him that you Believe that “By His
Stripes you are Healed”.
Then, Thank
Him for healing you and for answering your prayers. Trust the
Lord for complete deliverance. Relax and get well for according to His
Word, He has healed you.
The Bible
says, “Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall
bring it to pass”. (Psalm 37:5)
Jesus said,
"Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye
pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them". (Mark
11:24) Jesus Christ promises that he will hear and answer your
prayers.
YOU MAY
RECEIVE AN IMMEDIATE ANSWER TO YOUR PRAYERS. YOU MAY BE HEALED
SUDDENLY OR YOU MAY BEGIN TO AMEND AS ALSO HAPPENED IN THE MINISTRY OF
OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST!
“Then
enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto
him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him. So the father knew
that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son
liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.” (John 4:52-53)
READ WITH
JOY THESE WORDS OF LIFE: “Is any sick among you? let him call for
the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with
oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith shall save the sick,
and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they
shall be forgiven him.
“Confess
your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be
healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much”.
(James 5:14-16)
You may
receive divine healing in one of various ways - through the laying on of
hands, anointing with oil, prayer of agreement or praying alone to our
Heavenly Father in Jesus’ dear Name, in your home!
IT DOESN’T
MATTER WHICH WAY GOD HEALS YOU, SO LONG AS YOU ARE HEALED
Give God all
the glory. Share with others what God has done so that you may rejoice
together and glorify the Name of Jesus. Remember, Jesus said in Mark 9:23
- “ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM THAT BELIEVETH”.
Allow me now
to offer a prayer to God on your behalf.
“Kind
Heavenly Father, I pray in Jesus’ Name that you will extend Your hand
of mercy, forgiveness and divine healing right now to each and everyone
who is reading this booklet.
“Upon the
authority of God’s Word, by the blood of the everlasting covenant,
through the eternal Spirit of God and in Jesus’ all powerful Name, I
command Satan to take his hands off each one reading this booklet now!
“Every evil
spirit of torment, infirmity and unrighteousness must leave NOW, in
Jesus’ Name.
“Heavenly
Father, please lay your healing hand on the sick, infirm and sinful right
now and save, heal and deliver them all.”

GOD'S
HEALING COVENANT
"And
said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice
of the LORD thy God,

commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these
diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I AM the
LORD that healeth thee." (Exodus 15:26)
NONE
OF THESE DISEASES
One
of the most helpful books in print today is the classic, 'None of These
Diseases' by Dr. S.I. McMillan.
The
author, Dr. S.I. McMillan, a prominent medical doctor uses humor, common
sense and a biblical perspective, in dealing with the causes and cures of
today's diseases.
"It
is lamentable that peace does not come in capsules", he utters in
failure as he remembers the thousands of patients who left his office
with "nothing but a prescription for a bottle of pills that would
only relieve the symptoms of their illness but not attack the diseases.
The
good doctor laments that he now wishes he had rather prescribed his book,
'None of These Diseases', so that a permanent cure could have been
affected! According to Medical Science, between 60 and 100% of all
diseases are caused by nervous tension, emotional stress and strain.
Dr.
McMillan states that emotions such as fear, sorrow, envy, resentment and
hatred are responsible for the majority of our sicknesses and diseases.
And that emotional stress can cause high blood pressure, toxic goiter,
arthritis, migraine headaches, apoplexy, heart trouble, gastro-intestinal
ulcers and other serious illnesses and diseases.
And
recently (about 1996) the American Medical Association released the
findings of a nation-wide survey of tens of thousands of their medics.
One of the questions dealt with their success ratio in treating patients.
The answer is shocking - Only 10% of patients had received any lasting
help through their medical procedures.
MEDICAL
SCIENCE HISTORY RESTS ON SHAKY FOUNDATION - CRAZY
CURES FOR DISEASES 3500 YEARS AGO
Having
any problems with falling hair? What do you do to cover up that
bald spot and receding hairline? Probably
the only solution is to massage your head, comb your hair forward, get a
toupee or just simply let it fall.
If
you had lived about 3500 years ago you would have gotten very different
advice - not from a therapist but from your physician. He
would have quoted from the famous medical authority of that day, Papyrus
Ebers.
"When
it falls out, one remedy is to apply a mixture of six fats, namely those
of the horse, the hippopotamus, the crocodile, the cat, the snake and the
ibex. To strengthen it, anoint with the tooth of a donkey crushed in
honey."
THE
PAPYRUS EBERS - AN ANCIENT MEDICAL WORLD GUIDE - REMEDIES FOR DISEASES
1552 BC
The
Papyrus Ebers was published about 1552 BC and occupied a dominant
position in the ancient medical world and was one of the leading guides
for practicing physicians for a long time.
There
are literally hundreds of remedies for diseases in this book, such as
lizard's blood, swine's teeth, putrid meat, stinking fat, moisture from
pig's ears, milk goose grease, asses hooves, animal fat from various
sources, excrete from animals, including human beings, donkeys,
antelopes, dogs, cats and even flies.
THROUGH
MOSES, GOD MADE HIS HEALING COVENANT WITH THE JEWISH NATION
Moses
was born about the time the 'Papyrus Ebers' was written in Egypt.
He was educated in their highest schools of learning - scholars think he
was also a physician - as the son of Pharaoh's daughter.
But
when God called Moses to lead His people out of Egyptian bondage, he did
not borrow from the "occultist clap-trap" in their medical
books of disease remedies. He rejected the highest, most respected
medical authority of that day.
Moses'
directive was "Heed the voice of God, do right, obey His
commandments, keep His statutes and I will heal you".
God
did not borrow medical advice from the 'Papyrus Ebers'. His advice to
Moses was contrary to the most highly respected medical thought of that
day.
THE
CHURCH WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN STOPPING THE BLACK DEATH DISEASE
Millions
of Europeans died of the disease Leprosy for hundreds of years.
Some physicians thought the cause of the disease Leprosy was eating hot
food or the meat of diseased hogs. Others blamed the disease
Leprosy on malign conjunction of the planets.
Approximately
60 million people died from the BLACK DEATH disease in the 14th century.
Dr. George Rosen of Columbia University writes: "Leadership was
taken by the Church, as the physicians had nothing to offer. The
Church took as its guiding principal the concept of contagion as embodied
in the Old Testament.
DISEASE
OF LEPROSY - PEOPLE AFFLICTED WITH THIS DISEASE WERE QUARANTINE
"Once
the condition of leprosy has been established, the patient was to be
segregated and excluded from the community...it accomplished the first
great feat...in methodical eradication of disease."
Possibly,
the Church needs to investigate measures to insure that the AIDS epidemic
does not leap from high risk groups to the general population, since
governmental and medical bodes are again "doing nothing".
For
centuries in Europe, multitudes perished from deadly diseases because of
improper hygiene, sanitation and sloppy hospitals. In many
villages, human excrement and waste was dumped into the streets, bringing
deadly diseases, creating epidemics of typhoid, cholera and dysentery.
GOD
HAD GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE BURYING OF WASTES 3500 YEARS AGO
The
solution to the problem that was causing these deadly diseases, the
burying of wastes, had been given by God 3500 years before (in
Deuteronomy 23:12-13).
HYGIENE
CUT MORTALITY RATE - GOOD HYGIENE STOPPED DISEASES FROM SPREADING
Vienna
in the 1840s was famous as a medical center. One of the most famous
teaching hospitals of that day was Allegemeine Krakenhus. In
its maternity ward, one out of six women died.
Dr.
Ignaz Semmelveis discovered that if doctors washed their hands well,
after doing autopsies and before examining expectant mothers, the
mortality rate dropped drastically.
Dr.
Semmelveis was not applauded by the Medical Profession. However, he
was ridiculed by his peers, discredited, lost his position and eventually
succumbed to the pressure, dying in a mental hospital.
Moses
had given the same advice many centuries before (in Numbers 19). If
wasn't until 1878 that the method of cleaning hands and instruments was
introduced by men like John Tyendall, Louis Pasteur and Sir Joseph Lister
that the mortality rate began to drop.
The
New York State Department of Health, in 1960, issued a book describing a
method of washing the hands very similar to that found the BIBLE -
Numbers Chapter 19.
JOHN
WESLEY, FOUNDER OF THE METHODIST CHURCH DECLARED IT WAS GOD'S WILL FOR
MIRACLES TO BE IN THE CHURCH, BUT THE MIRACLES HAD BEEN LOST DUE TO
UNBELIEF
It's
interesting to note that John Wesley - founder of the Methodist Church
declared that it is God's will for miracles to be in the Church, for the
entire Church age, but have been lost to the church because of UNBELIEF.
He
further stated, "The only method of physics employed by the Early
Church for the first 400 years, was the prayer of faith."
Medical
science has come a long way since Papyrus Ebers was published in 1552, BC
and even since the 1840's in Vienna, but I still think that when your
family physician advises you to get a second or third opinion about an
operation, its a good idea.
Now
if anyone wants to try the remedy for falling hair, don't let me
discourage you. But then where would you find a hippopotamus these days?
As
for me and my house, we will Trust the Lord and serve Him only!
