ST.
PAUL WARNS OF UNREASONABLE MEN WHO HAVE NO FAITH
St.
Paul declared, "All men have not
faith." Therefore he warned to
"beware of unreasonable men." (2 Thessalonians
3:2) This world is filled with unjust,
unrighteous and unreasonable men who "have
not faith".
THE
DEATH OF JESUS WAS A MIRACLE
The
Scripture tells us that if the Princes of this
world had known who Jesus was, they would not
have put to death the very Son of God, the
Messiah of Israel. (1 Corinthians 2:8) The Bible
says, "This cometh to pass, that the
word might be fulfilled that is written in their
law, they hated Me without a cause." (John
16:25)
Even
though they could find no testimony or witness
to corroborate against Him they still put Him to
death. (Mark 14:55) Our Blessed Lord Jesus
challenged His accusers with the words, "Which
of you convinceth me of sin?" (John
8:46) None could!
JESUS
WAS BORN WITHOUT SIN & JESUS LIVED &
DIED WITHOUT SIN
Jesus
was born without sin. Jesus lived without
sin, and He fulfilled His Father's will to the
letter. Jesus died without sin and is
risen again, perfect in every respect.
Praise His Holy name forever.
Pontius
Pilate, the Roman Governor, publicly stated
during Jesus' trial, "I find no fault in
this man". Yet, because of public opinion
and political pressure, he allowed Jesus to be
crucified after he had washed his hands, saying,
"I am innocent of the blood of this just
person." (Matthew 27:24)
Very
definitely the world is filled with unreasonable
men who "have not faith!!" Jesus knew
this for, "He knew man and what was in
man." (John
2:25)
THE
BIBLE IS A MIRACLE BOOK
Jesus
Christ therefore provided some clear-cut proofs
for his followers, so powerful and convincing
that when they happened, entire villages, towns
and cities believed the preaching of God's word
through His humble servants.
Since
the great commission is for all who believe,
Paul naturally fell into that category.
On
may occasions, Paul cast out unclean spirits
with great authority in the Mighty Name of
Jesus. "And God wrought special miracles
by the hands of Paul: So that from his body were
brought unto the sick, handkerchiefs of aprons
and the diseases departed from them and evil
spirits went out of them."
“Then
certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took
upon them to call over them which had evil
spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We
adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth."
"And
there were seven son of Sceva, a Jew and chief
of the priests, which did so. And the evil
spirit answered and said, "Jesus, I know
and Paul, I know, but who are ye"?
"And
the man in whom the evil spirit was, leaped on
them and overcame them and prevailed against
them, so that they fled out of that house naked
and wounded. And this was known to all the Jews
and Greeks, also dwelling at Ephesus: and fear
fell on them all and the name of the Lord Jesus
was magnified.
“And
many that believed came and confessed and shewed
their deeds. Many of them also which used
curious arts brought their books together and
burned them before all men; and they counted the
price of them and found it fifty thousand pieces
of silver. So mightily grew the Word of God and
prevailed."
(Acts 19:11-20)
"Because
the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and
the weakness of God is stronger than men. For ye
see your calling, brethren, how that not many
wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not
many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the
foolish things of the world to confound the
wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the
world to confound the things that are mighty;
and base things of the world, and things which
are not, to bring to nought things that are:
That no flesh should glory in his presence."
(1 Corinthians 1:18-21, 25-29)
"For
the wisdom of this world is foolishness with
God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in
their own craftiness." (1 Corinthians 3:19)
When
asked if he thought there is life on other
planets in our solar system, the late Albert
Einstein answered, "GOD DOESN'T THROW
DICE"! In other words, God is highly
organized and intelligent and when He populated
Planet Earth, He did so because it was created
to be inhabited by man. God is not a gambler,
God is not a God of chance.
Many
very foolish earthlings have made the statement,
"I cannot believe in God because I can't
understand Him, and I have never seen Him. We
know nothing about Him."
HOW
FOOLISH AND UNREASONABLE SUCH REASONING IS
We
will never be able to understand God and I am
glad about that! If I could understand God, then
either I would be a God and would not need Him,
or He would be a man and He couldn't help me. He
however asks only that we believe in Him in
order to receive the manifold blessings from His
hand which we so desperately need. We are not
expected to understand Him! WE ARE ASKED ONLY TO
BELIEVE HIM!
No,
my friend, God is not unreasonable and here’s
my warning to you: Do not allow Satan to fill
your ears with garbage and your mind with evil,
so that you will be deceived by unbelief, error
and evil spirits. Open your heart to Christ and
receive His blessings and his miracles in your
life.
THE
FAMOUS SCIENTIST, ALBERT EINSTEIN, made the
statement before he died, that in his opinion,
mankind had only been able, over the past 6000
years of man's existence, to gather together 2%
of total knowledge.
We
have, with our most brilliant minds, over a span
of 6000 years, been able to accumulate 2% of
total knowledge. It seems logical to me then, to
ask the following question: If man knows only 2%
of what there is to know, then doesn't it seem
rational to conclude that God could exist in the
98% of the knowledge we know nothing about? No
wonder God's Word says, "The fool hath said
in his heart there is no God". (Psalms
14:1)
Another
sign that we are living in the LAST DAYS and
also that God's Word is True is the tremendous
EXPLOSION of KNOWLEDGE since the days of
EINSTEIN, in direct fulfillment of Dan. 12:4.
"But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and
seal the book, even to the time of the end: many
shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be
increased".
SCIENTIFIC
PROOF ONLY STRENGTHENS THE TRUTH THAT GOD'S WORK
IS INFALLIBLE - TO SAY THE BIBLE IS A MIRACLE
BOOK IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT
The
Bible tells us also of our Master Himself, and
how that when they saw the miracles which He
did, multitudes followed Him. (Mark 8)
His
disciples also believed on Him because of the
miracles! (John 2:11) Even Thomas believed when
he saw the wounds in His side and the nail
prints in His hands.
Scientific
evidence seems to point to the fact that Jesus
was nailed in the wrists instead of the palms of
the hands, as Paintings indicate! The
"Shroud of Turin", which most
scientists believe is authentic and probably the
burial garment of Jesus, has evidence that the
nails were placed in the wrists of Jesus instead
of the hands, as the King James version
says...THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER IS THAT THE GREEK
WORD "CHEIR" WHICH IS TRANSLATED
"HANDS" IN MOST BIBLES, REALLY
INCLUDES NOT ONLY THE HANDS BUT THE WRISTS AND
PART OF THE FOREARMS AS WELL.
When
the Scientists saw the impression of the nails
in the wrists, some thought they had found a
discrepancy in the Holy Bible, but when they
checked the original Greek text, they found that
the word "Cheir" covered the entire
hand area including the wrist and forearm. For
years, critics have stated that if Jesus was
nailed in the palms of the hands, the weight of
the body would have torn His hands from the
nails.
Now
we have both scientific proof (The shroud of
Turin) and Biblical (the original Greek text)
proving that Jesus Christ was nailed in the
wrists. This proof shuts the mouths of
skeptics and infidels again. (John 20:20
& 27)
JESUS
CERTAINLY IS NOT UNREASONABLE AND DOES NOT
EXPECT ANYONE TO BELIEVE THAT WHICH CANNOT BE
PROVEN.
That
is why he said, "Why are ye troubled? and
why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my
hands and my feet, that it is I myself; handle
me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and
bones, as ye see me have." (Luke 24: 38-39)
"...have ye here any meat? And they gave
Him a piece of broiled fish, and of an
honeycomb. And He took it, and did eat before
them." (Luke 24:41-43)
COME
AND SEE, THEN GO AND TELL
When
the women came to the tomb very early in the
morning, on the first day, they found the stone
rolled away and the tomb empty! The angel of God
said, "Come and see the place where the
Lord lay. Then go and tell His disciples that He
is risen from the dead..."
(Matthew 28:6-7)
There are at least two lessons to learn from
this scripture. (1) God gives us ample proof
before He expects us to believe anything. (2)
Once we do believe, we are duty bound to tell
others!
THE
MIRACLE OF THE CREATION
"In
the Beginning God created the heaven and the
earth. And the earth was without form, and void;
and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And
the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the
waters. And God said, Let there be light and
there was light. And God saw the light, that it
was good; and God divided the light from the
darkness.”
(Genesis 1:1-4)
God
is a Miracle Worker! The reason I know He is a
miracle worker is because I know He is God!
The
Bible is a Miracle Book from beginning to end.
It begins with a miracle in Genesis when God
created the heaven and the earth and it ends
with a miracle when God will create the New
Heaven and the New Earth!
Praise
God, all through God's Holy Word, we read of His
miracles in the lives of man. Salvation is
miraculous. God giving His Son to be born of a
virgin [the seed of the woman (Genesis)] in
order to redeem mankind through His sinless life
and victorious death upon Calvary's cross at
Golgotha.
Everything
about Jesus spoke of miracles. His birth was a
miracle; His life and deeds were a continuous
miracle; His death was another miracle and when
He arose from the grave and ascended to Heaven,
those were supernatural, miraculous events.
