CHRETIEN LEGACY: Canada in Disarray?

The 63 Canadian Alliance MPs together with 53 Liberal MPs and 16 other MPs from vaious political parties, stayed true to the traditional time - honored definition of marriage as a union of "one man and one woman to the exclusion of all other."

These representatives of the majority of Canadians will go down in history as heroes of Normalcy, Common Sense and Defenders of Canadian families for generations to come.

The Chretian/Robinson coalition will probably be remembered as the ARCHITECTS of Canada's new HYRID 'same-sex-marriage' and the laughing stock of the world.  In the future, will the Canadian Alliance be known as the 'Straight Party' and the Liberals as the 'Same-Sex Party'?

One more thing - Would Paul Martin be proud or ashamed of being the Prime Minister of what many world leaders will PRIVATELY call the 'Sodom and Gomarrah of the North'? And will we be ashamed of him for siding with the Chretien - Robinson coalition against the time honored traditional Marriage definition?

May God give him the Moral Courage and Common Sense to lead this great nation aright! As Minister of Finance, he was smart enough to lead us out of the economic quagmire, by borrowing some of the innovative and fresh ideas put forth by Preston Manning of the Reform Party.  Hopefully, he will turf the present government's advisors and turn to intelligent common sense people like Ted Morton, Preston Manning and Ralph Klein.

SOMETHING EVERY LIBERAL SHOULD CONSIDER

Pictures of Liberal and NDP MPs embracing one another in rapturous joy, appear to convey the genuine love in between 'these birds of a feather'.  The vote was tied until Liberal House Speaker Peter Milliken voted against the Canadian Parliament's 137 year old traditional definition of marriage.

Milliken is the first Speaker in the last 40 years to break a tie.  He also included himself with Jean Chretien and his Cabinet as a founding father and architect of a new Canadian hybrid 'same-sex-marriage' law.  And allegedly, a contributor to the demise of the sacred union of husband and wife marriage and the traditional family, for succeeding generations.

Such as human nature is, should this proposed legislation become law, in the minds of million of Canadians, the Liberal Party would always be associated with the 'HOMOSEXUAL AGENDA' and the utter disrespect shown to all mothers and fathers by lumping them in the same category as those living in contravention of the Holy Scriptures, Medical Science, Law Makers and Legislators from the world's greatest civilizations for thousands of years!

DR. DANIEL CAPPON, psychiatrist at the University of Toronto, who treated hundreds of homosexuals over the years, stated: "Homosexuality by definition, is not healthy or wholesome.. At worst, the homosexual person will die younger and suffer emotional, mental and physical illness more often than the normal person.  The natural history of the homosexual persons seems to be one of frigidity, impotence, broken personal relationships, psychosomatic disorders, alcoholism, paranoia and suicide."

HARRY JAFFA, professor Emeritus of Claremont McKenna College writes: "From ancient and Biblical times, anal sexual intercourse has been regarded by the greatest Legislators and Moralists as a vicious sexual perversion.  It is condemned equally by the Old and New Testaments...Thomas Jefferson, in a criminal code written during the American Revolution, made it a FELONY in the same class as RAPE."

JOHN WESLEY - founder of the Methodist Church stated that the judgment of God upon those who practice the sin of homosexuality, as found in the Bible Romans 1:24-28, was that Gift lifted His Spirit from them and allowed an evil spirit to bring darkness and perversion into their minds, so that they no longer knew right from wrong.  John Wesley's Commentary from the Holy Bible - Romans, Chapter 1 states: "Receiving the just recompense of their error, their idolatry, being punished with unnatural lust; which was as horrible a dishonor to the body, as their idolatry was to God."

MARTIN LUTHER - leader of the Protestant Reformation - declared that Roman Catholic priests were committing fornication with women worshippers.  Then referring to homosexuality, Luther stated" Some of the priests are committing a sin among themselves that is too horrible to mention by name."

I predict that if this bill becomes law, homosexuals and lesbians will rue the day of its passing because of the bitterness, division and untold problems it will cause them and their adopted children in the future!

MY ADVICE TO ALL CHRISTIANS

The fallout from same-sex marriages would create a community of dysfunctional people with enormous emotional and psychological difficulties, requiring our help for years to come. We must all be prepared to love them unconditionally and share with them the saving, healing and redeeming grace of Jesus Christ our Lord!

The Church must always remain a sanctuary for hurting people. True followers of  'Jesus the Christ', must exhibit compassion for the fallen, sinful, sick and fearful among us.  Our places of worship are open to those who have lost their way and a refuge for all needy souls!  We must not however, allow the actions of immoral politicians and politically appointed judges who grew up in the 'free-sex, pot-smoking, defiant and perverted Woodstock Era' get under our skin.  In the end, God wins. Light dispels the darkness and the Gospel will continue to shine through the fog of political compromise.

We shall overcome.  With the same determination that the 'persecuted blacks' overcame in the southern USA, the Christians of Canada that are being discriminated against, shall also overcome by the power of the Holy Spirit, the Word of God and the all powerful name of Jesus Christ.

God loves everyone and isn't willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)  The Bible declares: "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God my Saviour, Who will have all men to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth." (I Tim. 2:3-4)  And Jesus said: "Repent and believe the Gospel." (Mark 1:15)

MY ADVICE TO ALL POLITICIANS

The Bible says: "The fear of man bringeth a snare." (Prov. 29:25)  We all know what a snare does to a rabbit or a gopher that is caught in its deadly grip. A snare kills! My friend, in the political arena: "Don't fall into the clever and brutal snare or trap of overbearing and power hungry leaders.

Many politicians have 'sold out' their good intentions, honorable principles and Godly morals, to gain the vote of a highly vocal lobby group or the demanding adherence of an immoral position within a caucus or Cabinet.  Far better to obey conscience and be honest, honorable and self respecting, by taking a stand for righteousness and common sense, even if it means being relieved of your position within the Cabinet or losing an election!

If I were a politician whose party had deviated from a sane, common sense, moral position on any given subject, I would deliver an appropriate speech renouncing their objectionable proposed legislation, and then walk across the floor to the other side.  I wouldn't sell my soul to any group of corrupt, unstable and immoral politicians.

The Bible says: "And fear not them which kill the body. But are unable to kill the soul: but rather fear (reverence) Him which is able to destroy both body and soul in Hell." (Matthew 10: 28)

Jesus Christ spelled out the seriousness of not reverencing God, of letting other things take the precedence over moral and spiritual truth.  Putting things in perspective, Jesus warned against being intimidated by evil men who demand worship or obedience to the edicts at the threat of death.  In essence, He said: "Obey the Lord God Jehovah rather than the threatening demands of men."

King Solomon stated: "The fear (reverence) of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction." (Prov. 1:7)  And St. Paul said of those who commit evil, "They have no fear (reverence) of God before their eyes." (Romans 3:18)

To refresh your memory, allow me to present the motion put forth by the Leader of Official Opposition, Stephen Harper of the Canadian Alliance.

"That is the opinion of this House, it is necessary, in the light of public debate around recent court decisions, to reaffirm that marriage is and should remain the union of one man and one woman to the exclusion of all others, and that parliament take all necessary steps within the jurisdiction of the Parliament of Canada to preserve this definition of marriage in Canada."

In 1999, the Canadian Parliament affirmed the above defintion of marriage with a majority of 216 to 55.  On September 16, 2003, however, the vote was tied at 134-134.  The Speaker of the House, Peter Milliken cast his tie breaking vote against traditional marriage in Canada.

How Important ONE VOTE is! My friend, have the intestinal fortitude to vote your conscience even if it means losing a Cabinet position in a morally corrupt government.  If one courageous MP had voted in favor of the 'husband and wife only' marriage, instead of "turning tail", it would have brought purity, cleansing and honor to the House of Commons, not SHAME!  One could say "Out of respect for God's Word, history, normalcy, common sense, mothers, fathers, children, families and future generation, I vote my conscience for honesty an truth.  I vote against this absurd, immoral and bizarre proposed 'same-sex-marriage' legislation.

Those who voted against the 'Traditional Family' or who abstained, can still redeem themselves by repenting and taking a bold stand for that which is decent, moral and honorable in the House of Commons.

The Bible declares: "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn." (Prov. 29:2) "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." (Psalms 33:12)

DAG HAMMERSJØLD, Swedish United Nations Secretary - General made this prophetic statement shortly before his untimely death in a plane crash is 1961: "If the world does not in the very near future experience a heart gripping spiritual revival, it will be irredeemably lost."

WILLIAM GLADSTONE, Prime Minister, statesman and one of Great Britain's greatest legal minds of the 19th century said: "Talk about the questions of the day! There is but ONE QUESTION, and that is the Gospel.  That can and will correct everything! I am glad to say that about all the men at the top in Great Britain are Christians.  I have been in public positions 58 years, all but eleven of them in the Cabinet of the British government, and during those 47 years, have been associated with 60 of the master minds of the century, and all but five were Christians."

ALBERT EINSTEIN - scientist, father of Relativity Theory wrote in, 'Can a Natural Scientist Believe in God?' "On the contrary, I believe in a personal God, and I can with a good conscience say that I have never for a single minute of my life acclaimed an atheistic view of life."

"Personally, I am convinced that without religion mankind would now find itself in a state of barbarianism.  All societal life would then be of the most primitive kind, security of life and limb would be much less than now, and everyone fighting against everyone, which still happens among people, would, I am convinced about that, be carried out under far more brutal methods."  "Religion has in itself, been the driving dorce of mankind's progress." NB: Translated from Norwegian, "Kan en Naturvitenskapsmann Tro på Gud?"

Several years ago the Canadian Press carried a report titled, 'Civilized Society is Losing Sanity Battle, Doctor Says'. "The civilized societies of North America and Europe are fighting a losing battle with mental health, say psychiatrist Dr. Masters.

Masters stated: "The increasing rates of suicide, especially among teenagers and young adults, homicide, child abuse, sexual and violent crimes, pornographic exploitation, drug and alcohol abuse, are all symptoms of a very sick society."

BLAISE PASCAL (1623-1662) French mathematician, scientist, philosopher said: "If they turn their back on God, one of two things can happen. They will think they are gods and become insane or turn to carnality and become animals."

This is exactly what is happening today in the Western world. Many people have turned to New Age Movement or cults and are being deceived, thinking that they are gods.  Others have turned to carnality, sex perversion, drugs, Satanism and other wicked additions.

St. Paul detailed the tragic and hopeless condition of people who had know God but forsaken Him, in his 'Epistle to the Romans.' The Sovereign Lord had revealed Himself to them through His creation. Even though they had fellowshipped with Him, they became unthankful and repressed the knowledge of God (like our high schools and universities) because of sin.

They "held (repressed) the truth in unrighteousness", therefore God sent them a strong delusion that they would believe a lie. Since they had knowingly turned "the truth of God into a lie", He allowed an evil spirit to cloud their minds rendering them unable to know between right and wrong.

Their precipitous fall from wisdom to a depraved mind, becoming reprobates and finally sexual perverts is very sad. "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change into that which is against nature. And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly (shameful) and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet."

"And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate (debased) mind, to do those things which are not convenient (fitting)." (Romans 1:26-28)

FORTY YEARS IN MINISTRY WORLD-WIDE

This past May, I celebrated my 70th birthday. For 40 years, by the grace of God, I have shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ in many areas of the world and had the privilege of studying various religions, cultures, as well as human nature, belief and behavior.  I have ministered to many human needs of people personally and corporately, and I have come to believe that Dr. Masters was 'right on' when he stated: "Civilized society is losing the sanity battle".

QUESTION: Would any sane person living 50 years ago have believed that in 2003, the Government of Canada would call the sacred state of matrimony 'unconstitutional and illegal', unless two homosexuals living together in a conjugal relationship, in what US Senator Rick Santorum calls 'man-on-man sex' - not only have the same legal rights as a union between husband and wife, but also are able to legally usurp the word 'MARRIAGE' for their hybrid union? That would have been hard to believe 50 years ago.

If the Canadian Government passes this proposed irrational, bizarre, undemocratic and sac-religious legislation into law, one would wonder how much sanity there remains in Ottawa.

Some time ago, the Liberal majority defeated a Canadian Alliance motion to elevate the age of sexual consent for teens from 14 to 16 years of age?  The Liberal Government voted to keep the age of consent at 14.  The astute Canadian Alliance MP, Vic Toews stated: "Why is this government content to do nothing while Canadian children fall victims to sexual predators?  I don't think we are pushing the envelope on this issue. Society is ahead of parliamentarians on this issue."

You might also ask, "WHY?" Is it possible that some MPs had a 'hidden agenda', favoring the MAN-BOY (NAMBLA) homosexual lobby? Perhaps, it's another stepping stone in the rotting away process of our nation, similar to Ancient Rome. A lot of people want to know what the Liberal Party's end game is!  Their action on morality and protecting the family is almost non-existent. No wonder Vic Toews was perplexed!

DR. BENJAMIN SPOCK warned: "Civilization is the product of restraint on natural impulse. This attempt to break down all restraints on sex and violence can only lead to anti-civilization."

DR. BILL FRIST, U.S. Senate majority leader (Sept 2003), spoke in favor of a proposed ban on homosexual marriages: "I very much feel that marriage is a sacrament and that sacrament should extend...to the legal entity of a union between what traditionally in our Western values has been defined as between a man and a woman."

ALEXUS DE TOCQUILLE, author, member of the French Academy, wrote in 1931: "I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her commodious harbors and her ample viers, and it was not there: in her rich mines and her vast world commerce, and it was not there.  Not until I went into the Churches of America, and her her pulpits aflame with righteousness, did I understand the secret of her genius and power."

AUGUST STRINDBERG, Swedish author, made this statement shortly before his death: "Clearly said: I ascribe all my misfortune to this one fact, that I have been godless.  An individual that has broken contact with God, cannot receive any blessings.  All this talk about 'being your own man and making your own happiness' is chaff.  A curse rests upon everything that an ungodly person puts his hand to.  If money comes his way, it will disappear like it came.  Nothing remains, nothing prospers in the life of the ungodly."

WINSTON CHURCHILL, Prime Minister of Great Britain speaking at Olso's University shortly after WWII, stated: "In order to make excuses for myself, I could mention the school teachers of my youth who rejected Christianity.  But I will lay the blame upon myself.  Then, maybe I'll find ONE who will carry that for me. Nothing can come against the future of a people who has the Christian ethic as their leading light.  Christianity is the most secure foundation for a people."

DWIGHT EISENHOWER, U.S. President, stated: "The Christian Faith is the surest strength and the greatest preserve that America has.  On the battlefields we learned that there are no atheists in the foxholes. In the highest sense, the Bible is to us the unique repository of eternal spiritual truths.  In the most tangible sense, it is the ultimate and indispensable source of inspiration for America's life in freedom."

GEORGE CLEMENCAU, French President, atheist and God rejecter wrote this letter to his friend, Gustav Herve (1871-1944), a French politician, shortly before his death: 

"Dear friend! I will soon leave this world. You know that during my entire life time I have run roughshod over Christianity, and similarly, so has my Republican Government done!  I am no convinced, however, that it is impossible to build an  ordered society upon unbelief.  If I had understood this earlier, I would have without fear of being ridiculed stood in the breach for it, like you are doing.  I hereby give you full authority to officially make known my testament, as an educational lesson for the next generation."

VICTOR HUGO, French author (1802-1885) wrote: "England has two great books, the Bible and Shakespeare. England made Shakespeare and the Bible made England."

DR. WILLIAM LYONS PHELPS of Yale University commented, "I thoroughly believe in a university course for both men and women, but I believe a knowledge of the Bible without a college course is more valuable, than a college course without the Bible."

MARTIN LUTHER (1483-1556) warned: "I am much afraid that schools will prove to be great gates of Hell unless they diligently labor in explaining the Holy Scriptures, engraving them in the hearts of youth.  Every institution in which men are not increasingly occupied with the Word of God must become corrupt."

Its not difficult to connect what's happening in Ottawa to Dr. Marin Luther's prophecy.  Canadians may be naive, but they are not all mesmerized by glib tongued politicians, according to a report by Donald McKenzie, CBSnews.com (April 23, 03)

IN CANADA - 69% SAY GOVERNMENT IS CORRUPT

"Sixty-nine percent of the 1500 respondents in the Leger Marketing Survey said the federal system was highly or somewhat corrupt...."

DANIEL WEBSTER warned: "If religious books are not widely circulated among the masses in this country, I do not know what is going to become of us as a nation.  If truth be not diffused, error will be; if God and His Word are not, the devil and his works will gain the ascendancy; if the evangelical volume does not reach every hamlet, the pages of a corrupt and licentious literature will.:

"If the power of the gospel, is not felt throughout the length and breadth of this land, anarchy and misrule, degradation and misery, corruption and darkness, will reign without mitigation or end."

Minister Joe Wright, Kansas City was asked last year (2002) to open the new session of the Kansas Senate with prayer. Here is the content of that prayer that made waves across the world:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You today to ask your forgiveness and to seek Your direction and guidance. We know Your World says, "Woe to those who call evil good", but that is exactly what we have done."

"We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We confess that. We have ridiculed the Absolute truth of Your Word and called it Pluralism. We have exploited the poor and called it the Lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it Welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it Choice. We have shot abortionists and called it Justifiable.  We have neglected to discipline our children and called it Self-esteem. We have abused power and called it Politics.  We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it Ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and called Freedom of Expression. We have ridiculed the time honored values of our fore fathers and called it Enlightenment."

"Search us, O' God and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent; to direct us to the center of Your will and to openly ask these things in the name of Your Son, and the living Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen!"

The response was immediate!  A number of legislators walked out during the prayer in protest. In six short weeks, Central Christian Church, where Rev. Wright is pastor, received more than 5,000 phone calls with only 47 of those responding negatively. The church is now receiving international requests for copies of this prayer from India, Africa and Korea.

Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, 'The Rest of The Story', and received a larger response to this program than any other program aired. I would to God that this prayer would be prayed in all Churches, Town Halls, City Halls and Legislatures in Canada, as well as the House of Commons in Ottawa! Then, a revival of repentance, reverence of God and genuine love (caring and sharing) would be evidenced across our nation!

The Bible says: "If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and I will forgive their sin, and heal their land."
(2 Chron. 7:14)

GOD IS IN THE CANADIAN CONSTITUTION: THEREFORE, WE MUST RESPECT HIS LAWS

Note the drastic descent into perversion, to which Canadians have been subjected! Did this just evolve? Is it part of the Liberal's "hidden agenda"? How could this have happened to a nation with a solid history of rational, sane and moral values?

These words were spoken by MPs, including Jean Chretien, in the 1980 and 1981 debates in Parliament on the Charter of Rights and Freedoms: "sexual orientation" should never be included in any law, because it is ill-defined. Pedophilia, bestiality and rape could be called "sexual orientation".  MPs warned that "sexual orientation" in the Charter "would lead to demands for same-sex marriage and adoption by same-sex couple", which they realized "are not in the public interest."

THE PREAMBLE TO THE CONSTITUTION states: "Canada was established upon principals that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law."  On June 10, 1980, Prime Minister Pierre Elliot Trudeau tabled the following (in part) in the House of Commons: "Priorities for a New Canadian Constitution.  We, the People of Canada, proudly proclaim that we are and shall always be, WITH THE HELP OF GOD, a free and self-governing people."

In 1999, the Canadian Parliament by a majority vote of 216 to 55 pledged to uphold the 137 year-old legal definition of marriage as a union "between one man and one woman, to the exclusion of all other." They promised that with the authority of the Canadian Parliament, they would preserve this definition of marriage in Canada.

Now in 2003, we have what could be viewed as "turn coats" as the Sept 16, 2003 vote revealed, with 137 to 134 against upholding the 1999 affirmation of the traditional definition of marriage as "a union of one man and one woman to the exclusion of all others."

"Shouldn't we be attentive to what God says in His Word about morality and law, since "Canada was established upon the supremacy of God and the rule of law"?  The answer to that question must be a resounding, "Yes, we must recognize God's place in the Charter!"

You may ask, "What gives you the right to criticize the Prime Minister and the MPs, who voted against the motion to preserve Parliament's 137 year-old definition of marriage, as a union between one man and one woman, to the exclusion of all others"?

Clearly, since we have separation of Church and State in Canada, as a Minister of the Gospel I have a right to criticize the State when they do wrong, without fear of incrimination.  And since the State has chosen to discriminate against the Church and the Holy Scriptures, I have a right to EXPOSE their bigotry.

And since the State has been deceptive and hypocritical on a number of issues, I have a right to expose their hypocrisy. And because the Preamble to the Charter of Rights and Freedoms states: "Canada was established upon principles that recognize the supremacy of God...", I find it contradictory and blasphemous that the State would enact laws which are diametrically opposed to God's Word and Laws found in the Holy Bible.

GEORGE BERNARD SHAW (1856-1950) winner of 1925 Nobel Prize in Literature, stated: "I am ready to admit after contemplating the world and human nature for 60 years, that I see no way out of this world's miseries but by the way that would be found by Christ's will."

Lets turn back to the "old paths and walk in them, and we will find rest for our souls" (Jeremiah 6:16) Our children and grandchildren, and their offspring will thank us for protecting them from a very unstable future!

Jesus said, "Come unto Me, all ye who labour and are heavy laden ad I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28) Please pray this prayer with me:

O'Thou great Sovereign, Almighty God and Heavenly Father, I approach Thy throne of mercy in the name of Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who died on the cross for my sins and arose from the dead for my justification.  I now renounce the devil and all his works and all his ways, and I receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour.  Fill me with Thy Holy Spirit and baptize me with Thy great love.  Thank you Lord, for saving my soul!  And may Thy blessings rest upon Canada from center to circumference, from east to west and north to south, I pray. Amen.

BENEDICTION: 'And now, may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God the Father, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be and abide with us all, until He comes again in power and great glory!  As it was it the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end.'  Amen.

WHAT IS NEXT ON THE LIBERAL AGENDA?

A lot of people are asking, "What is coming next"?  In a most informative article (www.chp.ca) titled: 'CHP Response to Bill C-250 being Narrowly Approved', Ron Grey of the Christian Heritage Party, states: "What does sexual orientation mean?"

"I presume it means normal marital relations...thats certainly my own orientation.  But you may depend upon it that a heteroxexual orientation is the only one that's not going to be protected.  Because, in the language that is used to instruct your children and grandchildren about this subject, my view point is "heterosexist" and thus offends the panjandrums of "tolerance".
