Who really rules Canada?  Of this you can be very, very sure: it is not the nation's ordinary citizens.

CANADA IS NO LONGER A DEMOCRACY

Canada is no longer a democracy. For years this nation has been an oligarchy: a self-serving rule by self-perpetuating cliques.

The late Pierre Trudeau greatly admired Plato's vision of "philosopher-kings" - visualizing himself as the ideal, of course.

His disdain for the common people then ushered in real  philosopher-kings: judges, appointed to office for life and answerable to no one.   

THE CHARTER OF RIGHTS & FREEDOMS LIKE A TICKING TIME BOMB

The Charter of Rights and Freedoms, entrenched in Canada's Constitution, carried the hidden seeds of power for these philosopher-king-judges, like a ticking time-bomb. The judges of that day toyed with it, and no one objected. They went a little further; still no opposition was raised.

IN THE PAST DECADE - JUDGES ARE RE-WRITING LAWS

In the last decade, the judges have vaulted into the saddle - wearing spurs.

There is no longer any pretense of "separation of powers" or of adherence to principle. Political correctness now controls our nation. The judges, impervious to criticism, carry forward a radical Secularist agenda as proxies for the timid Cabinet which anoints them.

Close behind the judges are the apprentice philosopher kings - a few highly politicized civil servants.

THE TAXMAN TELLING THE CHURCH WHAT CAN AND CANNOT BE SPOKEN OF

Not only do we have judges re-writing laws - and even the Constitution itself; now the taxman is arrogantly telling the church what may and may not be spoken about when an election is in the air: social policy is off-limits, and so are topics identified with the policies of any political party.                          

CANADA CUSTOMS & REVENUE AGENCY CONTROLLING CHURCH TEACHING

Should a priest or pastor have the temerity to teach church doctrine on a controversial subject like abortion or same-sex marriage to his congregation, CCRA (Canada Customs and Revenue Agency) threatens that it might revoke that church's right to issue charitable tax receipts,

Note that agencies that have supported terrorist organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah are still active as "charities"- as the pigs in Orwell's Animal Farm observed, "All animals are equal; but some are more equal than others."
 
FRANKLIN ROOSEVELT'S FOUR FREEDOMS ARE BECOMING ENDANGERED SPECIES IN CANADA

Of Franklin Roosevelt's famous 'Four Freedoms' - Freedom of Religion, Freedom of Speech, Freedom from Want, and Freedom from Fear - the first two are now on the endangered species list in Canada. Ask Scott Brockie, Chris Kempling, Hugh Owens, Don Spratt, or Ken Campbell. All these men have been persecuted by the Political Correctness cops.

A few pro-life, pro-family lobby groups in Canada wisely eschewed seeking charitable tax-exempt status in the first place; some others have already lost their status for expressing their convictions. The CHP, as a political party, still has the freedom to state its policies - policies which mark it as the only openly pro-life, pro-family federal  party. But the church and many para-church groups are in now the cross-hairs of the taxman's gun sights.. Toe the politically-correct line or - "Pow! You're no longer tax-exempt!"

At one time, of course, churches were not tax-exempt. Rather, they had tax immunity, which is a very different thing: church revenues weren't taxable, because kings do not pay taxes to other kings - and the church serves the King of all kings. Maybe it's time for that distinction to be renewed.

The founders of democracy (as we know it) were overwhelmingly Christians who advocated separation of Church and State in a sense that judges and civil servants today have forgotten: separation was meant to protect the church from the state, not the other way around. And freedom of religion was never mean to be freedom from religion - a perversion which the ruling Secularist minority is now forcing on the people it presumes to govern as its serfs.      

What is the answer? There is only one solution to this odious usurpation by the self-appointed 14 per cent Secularist elite: the Canadian people must re-assert the authority delegated to them by God. How? We must begin electing people who are committed to standing up to the judicial oligarchs and the arrogant mandarins.

Only one party, so far, has proposed to do that:
the Christian Heritage Party. The next election will be upon us before we know it. We MUST get ready NOW to raise a REAL opposition to these self-styled "philosopher-kings".
